Kelley Robinson is an undergraduate at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. He is majoring in Journalism and Technical Communication with dual concentrations in News-Editorial and Television News and Video Communication. Colorado State University is one of the few higher education institutions accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. Robinson graduated in May 2008 from Arapahoe High School, in Centennial, Colorado.


Notable accomplishments:

– Chosen for 2010 Project Interchange College Media Seminar in Israel.

   Reported from Sderot near the Gaza Strip. One of 18 invited to attend.

  1. -2009 Columbia Scholastic Press Association Golden Circle Award for Personality Profile, Columbia University Journalism School, New York

– Society of Professional Journalists 2009 Ted Scripps Leadership

   Institute. Only one of 50 invited to attend.

– Colorado State University Student Media Stipend winner for the Rocky

    Mountain Collegian, 2008 - 2009.

– Frequent columnist for YourHub, a section of the Rocky Mountain

    News and The Denver Post, from 2005 to 2008.

– Al Neuharth Free Spirit Scholarship and Conference 2008 winner.

    Robinson was the male representative for the state of Colorado.

– 2008 American Scholastic Press Association, Best National Column:

    "Rusted Message in Golden Compass" by Kelley Robinson.

– Former Editor in Chief of the Arapahoe Herald, two time National

   Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker (2005, 2009) award winning,

   full color, 16-24 page student newspaper. Also received first place

   from American Scholastic Press Association, and Columbia Scholastic

   Press Association's Silver Crown and Gold Medalist Award.


Robinson is now a news anchor, web development director and reporter for CTV News, Fort Collins Channel 11, and works to put together a daily newscast. He has also served as a news producer and weather anchor after his experience as a reporter for the Rocky Mountain Collegian, the state’s only daily college newspaper. Additionally, has reported for College Avenue magazine. His work has also been published professionally in the Gannett-owned Fort Collins Coloradoan. Robinson is also employed by the Colorado High School Press Association as a newsletter editor.


In his free time Robinson is involved in the CSU Key Plus honors program, the University Chorus and was chosen for CSU's competitive President's Leadership Program and the Ram Leadership Team through the student government (Associated Students of CSU).
